Description
This portrait was made during a life session in charcoal on white paper. It shows a young and beautiful woman with her long hair swept to one side. Her high cheekbones show her strong, carved features, a high forehead, and a serious, questioning look. she wears a fashionable cowl neck sweater and she looks straight at the viewer with a questioning, even skeptical demeanor. I love to paint such portraits, direct and uncompromising. For this type of commission of an active, no-frills woman on the go, charcoal is the preferred medium.
