A watercolor scene in the fall of a typical Westchester, New York, garden, with the hedge in dark stained wood, weathered and hand carved as in the olden days, as they used to come, lacking in regularity of a machine-made beam. A nature scene of fall as is so striking around here, of trees in dazzling reds and golds, with rough-hewn stones for low walls and with painterly corners everywhere in strong contrasts.
