Mantle played his entire Major League Baseball career with the New York Yankees, primarily as a center fielder. Mantle is regarded by many as one of the best players and sluggers that ever played baseball.
This is a painting commissioned for a Mickey Mantle fan who is still in awe after his death. In this watercolor, the athlete's explosive strength shows in his extremely alert position, ready to uncoil. He earned his Number 1 position.

If you love the game, then you are gifted, since most of this country is obsessed with it and you can fit right in. I tried repeatedly on the field with my son but prefer painting the heroes.
